New in BrokerStar
BrokerStar included the FINMA reports in the standard in time for 31 May 2025
- without additional costs!
FINMA regulations are a headache for some brokers. However, BrokerStar at least helps with the preparation of the reports that have to be submitted to FINMA. A new report has been created specifically for this purpose.
However, it is important that the necessary data is entered correctly and completely. What data is needed?
- Enter the start of the mandate in the contact
- Assignment of corporate or private client or co-broker
- Enter the start or last mutation for the policies
- At least the first premium invoice for each active policy*
- Mark cancelled or suspended policies accordingly
- Record all commissions, brokerage fees and fees from 1 January 2024
- Accounts receivable must be up to date (including open brokerage claims)
- Settle all framework agreements
With the publication of 17 December 2024 FINMA has published a letter for the first time explaining the detailed specifications for the new FINMA reporting to be submitted. This document clarifies which data is to be collected and in what form it is to be submitted to FINMA. Furthermore, this letter supports the targeted development of BrokerStar with regard to the efficient preparation of the required reporting. As your service provider, our aim is to make it as easy as possible for you to submit the required information to FINMA.
With this in mind, we would like to point out that it is essential for complete reporting that you as a user maintain the required fields in BrokerStar. Of course, we will continue to inform you about the new features in FINMA reporting in the future, so that firstly you know what has been added to BrokerStar and secondly you have enough time to enter your data. We will of course be happy to provide you with support for this new function.
